MT5 Mobile: scope and deployment

Understand the component, its dependencies and the checks to agree before production.

Plan mobile access around the actual platform

Mobile access for MT5 should be reviewed against the authorised server environment and the supported client applications. Distinguish account access through an existing platform app from a separately developed or branded application. These are different scopes with different approvals, maintenance requirements and distribution responsibilities.

Validate onboarding and connectivity

Check how a client finds the correct server, signs in, restores a connection and reaches broker support. Test representative device sizes and network interruptions. Any project involving app distribution should confirm the supported operating systems, store requirements and release ownership before promising a publication date.

Keep mobile and account systems consistent

Trading account identifiers, registration instructions and support messages should agree with the client portal. Include the steps for a new account and an existing account in acceptance checks. Document which functions belong to the platform application and which require separate CRM, portal or application development.

Information needed for a project brief

  • Target operating systems
  • Authorised trading server
  • Existing or custom application scope
  • Onboarding and support journey
  • Distribution and update owner

What determines the quotation?

Existing app access, custom development, distribution work and ongoing maintenance have different costs. A project proposal should identify the chosen route and avoid treating a custom app as an automatic platform inclusion.

Request a written scope with deliverables, exclusions, acceptance checks, one-time costs and recurring charges. Deployment dates and service levels are confirmed for the agreed project.
