PSP Integration: scope and deployment

Understand the component, its dependencies and the checks to agree before production.

Connect payments to the account workflow

PSP integration links approved payment-provider events to the broker client portal and operational records. Confirm the supported payment methods, currencies, jurisdictions and merchant approval before implementation. A technology connection does not guarantee payment-provider onboarding or settlement terms.

Reconcile statuses rather than trust redirects

Client-facing redirects should not be the sole evidence of a completed payment. Define verified provider notifications, transaction identifiers, duplicate-event handling and reconciliation. Withdrawal workflows, refunds and manual approval should be scoped explicitly where they are part of the chosen provider and business process.

Validate interruptions and exceptions

Test pending, failed and completed transactions, repeated notifications and an interrupted client session. Identify the authoritative settlement record and the staff responsible for investigating discrepancies. Keep credentials and payment-sensitive data out of public website code and agree operational escalation with the actual provider.

Information needed for a project brief

  • Approved merchant and provider
  • Methods, currencies and territories
  • Deposit and withdrawal workflows
  • Transaction and reconciliation rules
  • CRM and portal interfaces

What determines the quotation?

Provider interfaces, payment methods, reconciliation and operational controls determine the integration effort. Transaction fees, reserves and merchant conditions are confirmed with the payment provider.

Request a written scope with deliverables, exclusions, acceptance checks, one-time costs and recurring charges. Deployment dates and service levels are confirmed for the agreed project.
